The miraculous shampoo bar

The miraculous shampoo bar

Are shampoo bars better for your hair and scalp?

The short answer is yes, shampoo bars tend to contain less harmful chemicals that could lead to scalp irritation and damage to your hair shaft.

Many shampoos contain sulfates the most famous of these and the one that customers ALWAYS ask me about at my market stall is sodium Laurel sulphate!

Sodium Laurel sulphate is a chemical that helps clean the hair and scalp with lather, it behaves as a surfactant, however this chemical is bad news and it's linked to some cancers.

In truth when I started making my own products and really researching what goes into commercial products of course I was as equally as shocked and horrified as the next person, however I have a deep love for hair and beauty products and want to bring you products that function well and give you that professional finish - if that is a shampoo bar, a face or body soap, a scalp oil, or a body oil.

You would also be surprised how much alcohol is in products which obviously is extremely drying.

Parabens are another one to avoid at all costs! Imagine companies adding chemicals which interfere with your hormones to shampoos? This is what they do....Parabens have been linked to some breast cancers and affect your estrogen levels.

Only some ingredients and colours would pass manufacturing standards now in the EU so as a EU consumer you are protected by laws and standards that producers must follow in relation to ingredients like colours in particular.

My shampoo bars and products are only coloured with natural micas.

Overall if you can give shampoo bars a try and get used to them you can cut out a lot of excess chemicals and unnecessary excessive plastic packaging.

Another advantage of 'the miraculous shampoo bar' is that they are ideal for travelling.

They help the enviroment as the chemicals that are harmful for you also impact the enviroment and sea life, they last about five times longer so that cuts down on production.

Shall I say more?

No sold?

okay.
